RICH KULASZEWSKI–Mite Head Coach
I started my hockey playing career in the learn to skate program in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 3, where my Dad was in his last years of College. After my father graduated college we moved back to the Jersey Shore where I began playing travel Mite hockey when I was 5 years old for the Shore Point Sharks out of the Ocean Ice Palace. During our Squirt A year we won the NJ Youth hockey title against Cranford. When the Sharks program went defunct, my father enrolled me in the Brick Hockey Club. I played my Pee Wee hockey years for Brick. Shortly thereafter we moved to the Monmouth Hawks organization in Eatontown that was run by George Haviland Sr. and I played my Bantam, Midget, and Junior hockey with that organization. Throughout that tenure I was fortunate enough to play on many tournament teams that traveled throughout New England and Canada and was afforded the opportunity to play with many players who ultimately achieved professional status. After Junior hockey I went on to play 4 years of Varsity hockey at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass and was not only the first player to make the team from NJ, but the first NJ player to achieve a starting position at right defense. I have recently began my coaching career as last year’s Assistant Coach of the Titans Mite C team and during that year we were able to achieve our first success by winning the Shamrock Tournament sponsored by the Little Devils at South Mountain Arena. I look forward to coaching your child and I believe that with my passion for the game and love for kids that I can make you and your child’s hockey experience and positive and rewarding one !
